Jan Allen, founder and CEO of PayTech, Inc. has been recognized as a Finalist in the Large Business Owner category for the 11th Annual Outstanding Women in Business award recognized by the Denver Business Journal. Each year, the Denver Business Journal recognizes Denver's most influential women and honors several women in different industries who have achieved great success through leadership in business and community contribution. Outstanding Women in Business will be held at the Marriott City Center Hotel on Thursday, August 27, 2008 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The 2009 Outstanding Women in Business finalists and winners are profiled in a special section in the August 28 issue of the Denver Business Journal.

Jan Allen, founder and CEO of PayTech, Inc. has been recognized as a Regional Semi-Finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. This award is the most prestigious accolade granted to entrepreneurs in business.  This is the 21st anniversary of the program which recognizes leaders and visionaries who are creating and building world-class businesses. Awards are given to entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. The Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards Program was created and is produced by professional services firm, Ernst & Young LLP. As the first award of its kind, it honors entrepreneurs through regional, national and global award programs in over 125 cities and 40 countries.  Prior Regional Award winners include; David and Gail Liniger, ReMax International, Ron Snyder, Crocs, Inc, Kenneth Tuchman, Teletech and Jirka Rysavy, Corporate Express.

Janet Allen, President and CEO, PayTech, Inc. was named the Greenwood Village Chamber of Commerce 2004 Chamber Member of the Year. Allen has been an active member of the Chamber since joining in 2001. She has been a strong supporter of the Chamber through her help in developing the Chamber’s successful “Masters Series” luncheon program and her work in membership development and retention.

Through her efforts as Co-Chair of the Greenwood GooseChase, she has helped grow an event that promotes the Chamber and the City of Greenwood Village and that has provided funds to several local charities.

After serving on the Chamber Board of Directors for the last three years, she will serve as President in 2005.
